Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician performs both preventative and reactive maintenance and repair on a wide range of plant equipment, including extraction systems, mix-blend equipment, boilers, HVAC systems, cooling towers, waste treatment systems, water softeners, reverse osmosis (RO) units, and other production machinery. This role involves a variety of light electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic work and plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and consistent production performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on specified production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using available documentation, schematics, and technical resources.
- Execute the preventive maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment to verify conformance with operational and safety standards.
- Ensure safety in the workplace by identifying, correcting, and eliminating unsafe conditions.
- Protect company assets by intervening in any condition that could result in abuse or damage to equipment or buildings.
- Support and adhere to established Quality Systems to maintain product and process integrity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with facility standards.
- Maintain clear oral and written communication within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions and accurate handoffs.
- Work on light electrical tasks, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and components.
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and light hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment.
- Utilize PLC troubleshooting methods and HMIs to diagnose issues in automated manufacturing systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to guide repair and maintenance activities.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alexandria, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
