Job Description
This role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by preparing metal products for painting, operating equipment in the paint room, and packaging finished parts for shipment. You will work as part of a fast-paced team, ensuring products meet strict quality standards with zero defects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare material for painting, packaging, and shipping according to production requirements and work instructions.
- Clean grease, dirt, and rust from products using cloths, brushes, and appropriate tools to ensure surfaces are ready for paint.
- Mask, cover, and protect areas of each product that must not be coated with paint.
- Hang material on the paint line and ensure parts are properly spaced and secured for coating.
- Remove painted material from the paint line safely and efficiently once the coating process is complete.
- Palletize orders and prepare finished products for shipment, including labeling and staging for loading.
- Perform quality inspection of finished products to verify that all parts are painted correctly with zero defects.
- Use hand tools and power tools as needed to support paint preparation, assembly, and packaging tasks.
- Work at a fast pace while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with a team of paint room associates to meet production goals and complete projects on time.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and housekeeping expectations in the paint room and warehouse areas.
- Maintain excellent attendance and reliability to support consistent production schedules.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in general labor, assembly, production, or warehouse roles.
- Experience in machine operation, manual labor, or paint room work, including paint prep or painting tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and stand on your feet for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and document work as needed.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with a group of 25–30 coworkers.
- Commitment to quality and performing thorough quality checks and inspections.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in production, paint prep, and packaging.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues with products, processes, or equipment as they arise.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a paint room or on an assembly line is highly beneficial.
- Exposure to picking, packing, and general warehouse operations.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and keep work areas orderly.
- Project management mindset focused on completing tasks and projects on time.
- Strong work ethic and professionalism, including treating others with respect and upholding workplace ethics.
- Previous experience in quality inspection or quality checks in a production environment.
- Interest in long-term career growth, including potential leadership or management development.
- Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with clear production targets.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
