The Production Associate operates a variety of manufacturing equipment in a modern, fast-paced facility, supports production through material handling and general labor, and contributes to a collaborative, results-driven team environment. This role requires prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work flexibly across shifts and schedules to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities
  • Operate various production and packaging machines safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform computer input tasks and assist in the control room to support production operations and monitoring.
  • Handle materials, including loading, moving, and organizing products and supplies throughout the facility.
  • Carry out general labor duties such as lifting up to 50 lbs, staging materials, and maintaining work areas.
  • Use a tape measure accurately to verify product dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Inspect materials and finished products for quality, identifying defects and reporting issues promptly.
  • Support corrugated production processes and packaging activities as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging, and results-driven environment while meeting production goals.
  • Collaborate with teammates in a respectful, team-oriented manner and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Attend weekly team meetings on Tuesdays, 30 minutes before the shift starts, to review updates and priorities.
  • Train on various shifts during the first 90 days to learn equipment, processes, and facility operations.
  • Work overtime and occasional Saturdays based on customer demand to support production schedules.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate actively in safety initiatives to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Demonstrate reliability, motivation, and dedication to the job and team by maintaining consistent attendance and performance.
  • Take on any tasks required for the success of the team, showing flexibility and willingness to learn new jobs.
  • Support machine setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting under guidance from experienced team members.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Corrugated manufacturing or corrugated packaging experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Ability to operate production and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to perform computer input tasks related to production and control room activities.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding general labor tasks.
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays based on customer demand.
  • Ability to train on and work various shifts during the first 90 days.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, challenging, and results-driven environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to function effectively in a team-oriented setting.
  • Professional, mature demeanor with positive interaction and communication with teammates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with machine operating in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • Background in corrugated production or corrugated packaging operations.
  • Skills in packaging processes and material handling.
  • General labor experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.
  • Experience with inspection and quality control of products.
  • Ability to load and unload materials and products safely.
  • Willingness to learn additional jobs in the facility through cross-training.
  • Comfort with attending regular team meetings and participating in team discussions.
  • Interest in long-term growth, training, and career advancement within a production environment.

Dress is appropriate for an industrial production environment, with adherence to safety-related attire and protective equipment as required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Cottage Grove, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $47840.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
