Are you experienced in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment and looking for a stable, long-term opportunity? Join a rapidly growing semiconductor company as an Assembly Technician, where you will play a crucial role in assembling various electro-mechanical devices used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your ability to follow manufacturing drawings and use mechanical hand tools will be essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tools to perform assembly in a cleanroom environment.
  • Make minor setups of equipment in assigned areas.
  • Review production data to identify potential areas of non-conformance.
  • Perform tests or quality checks on assembled units.
  • Interpret drawings and identify needed modifications and improvements.
  • Work under direct supervision.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of recent mechanical assembly experience, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
  • Skilled in the operation of a variety of assembly tools.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to clearly explain experience from previous jobs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical training preferred.

Work Environment

This role requires working on the 2nd shift from 2:30-11pm, with some overtime and occasional Saturdays. Candidates must be comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and wearing full cleanroom attire. The position is a 90-business-day contract to hire (approximately 4 months).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
