Job Description
This role focuses on assembling circuit boards and related sub-assemblies using hand tools, production machinery, and computer-based work instructions. You will follow detailed, step-by-step procedures, perform quality checks, and contribute to the production of components used across multiple fields in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble circuit boards and sub-assemblies using hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches.
- Operate production machinery to apply solder paste and process smaller electronic components according to documented procedures.
- Follow computer-based, step-by-step assembly instructions for each product and ensure all steps are completed accurately.
- Log into and navigate multiple computer programs simultaneously to access the correct instructions and documentation.
- Perform thorough quality checks on completed work before moving assemblies to the next stage of production.
- Handle general production tasks including basic assembly, soldering, picking, and packaging as needed.
- Collaborate with training staff, leads, and supervisors to learn processes, ask questions, and continuously improve performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with facility standards and safety guidelines.
- Adhere to production schedules, meet productivity targets, and support team goals on the manufacturing floor.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and support personnel, including applying customer service skills to internal interactions.
Essential Skills
- Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque drivers, and wrenches safely and accurately.
- Comfort with operating basic production machinery for printing solder paste and handling small components.
- Ability to use basic computer programs daily and log into multiple systems to follow work instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to performing quality checks on all completed assemblies.
- General production experience, including assembly, soldering, picking, and packaging tasks.
- Strong reliability and willingness to follow step-by-step instructions and established procedures.
- Good communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach to working with colleagues and supervisors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Approximately 1 year of assembly experience preferred.
- 1–2 years of soldering experience preferred and can support higher starting pay.
- Any amount of picking and packaging experience is beneficial.
- Background in customer service roles is valued and often translates well to this environment.
- Willingness to learn new processes and cross-train for higher-level positions over time.

Work Environment

Employees work with hand tools, production machinery, and computers at designated workstations, supported by friendly leads and supervisors who are willing to train as long as needed to help team members succeed. Multiple schedules are available on each shift, offering flexibility based on employee needs, within a collaborative and supportive manufacturing setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Neenah, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.30/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
