Job Description

Aerotek is hiring immediately! Join a leading nationwide environmental company as an Environmental Technician, where you will play a crucial role in managing waste operations. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for transporting, loading, and offloading drums of waste, ensuring proper identification and separation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Responsibilities

  • Transport drums of waste and correctly place them in designated areas.
  • Identify and label drums filled with various substances.
  • Load and offload drums onto trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Separate hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste and place them in appropriate areas of the warehouse.
  • Sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of experience in environmental labor.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to build a career in the environmental field.
  • Ability to identify and manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Mechanical and general labor skills.
  • Great mindset and a proactive attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is a plus but not required.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Experience in construction, environmental science, and remediation.
  • Troubleshooting abilities in a warehouse environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
