Project Manager
Job Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple projects from kickoff through final customer acceptance. The role includes leading end-to-end project execution encompassing planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, integration, testing, and delivery. The Project Manager will own the project scope, schedule, cost, and overall performance, serving as the primary point of contact for customers to ensure strong communication and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Coordinate cross-functional teams to align internal execution with customer requirements.
- Lead internal and customer kickoff meetings and drive ongoing project updates.
- Communicate technical and contractual requirements to ensure team alignment.
- Allocate resources and prioritize project activities to meet deadlines.
- Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure scope and deliverables are met.
- Monitor and report project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with documentation, contractual terms, and company processes.
- Support invoicing, track payments, and manage project financials.
- Approve shipments and ensure all deliverables meet customer expectations.
- Drive project closeout and secure formal customer acceptance.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- Experience in project management, engineering, and product development life cycle.
- Ability to work with electrical engineering, controls, relay panels, and similar equipment.
- 2+ years of experience with Electrical Packaged Equipment such as Controls and Automatic Transfer Switches.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/fabrication company with the ability to read production prints.
- Experience with medium voltage, low voltage, relay panels, electrical panels, and MCC.
- Proficiency in ERP Systems, particularly Oracle Net Suite.
- Experience with full scope project management including financials, scheduling, and client interactions.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with the option to come in early. Expect 5-10 hours of overtime per week. The Project Manager will meet three times a week with the production team and twice a week with the project management team. Daily communication with the project team is required, with 60% of the time spent in the office and 40% in the shop. The role involves managing three projects at a time, generating a total revenue of 5-10 million. The team currently consists of five project managers. The role reports directly to the head of project management.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deer Park, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52.88 - $57.69/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
