Job Description
As a Material Coordinator, you will play a critical role in reviewing material requests and assisting others in analyzing material requirements to support the business needs of Distribution, Transmission, or Generation. You will coordinate with Supply Chain Operations to stay informed about upcoming projects and establish strong relationships with Expediting and Procurement teams to ensure material availability for construction and maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
- Review material requests to determine the cost-effectiveness of fulfilling orders from suppliers or inventory.
- Monitor open material requests and purchase orders to identify materials that need expediting or alternate sourcing.
- Monitor daily inventory reports for exceptions.
- Train others on the Materials Management system as needed.
- Serve as a liaison for the central Materials Management team, providing feedback on inventory management strategies.
- Review Materials Management processes and recommend improvements.
- Monitor metrics and take corrective actions to achieve Supply Chain and Business Unit goals.
- Purchase emergent materials during the T-Week scheduling process at Cook Nuclear Plant.
- Prepare and report on Procurement Engineering Receipt Inspection and material holds at Cook Nuclear Plant.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain or applicable business experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Procurement, or related field, or an Associate's Degree with two years of applicable experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of applicable experience.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pataskala, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
