Racker
Job Description
The racker prepares parts for the production process and supports machine operators as needed. This role focuses on working with mostly small parts, securing them to racks or hoists, and transporting the racks to the appropriate department for processing while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Determine the priority of jobs to ensure parts are prepared in the correct order for processing.
- Select the appropriate racking procedure based on the size, shape, and quantity of objects to be processed.
- Wire or clip objects securely to racks or hoists to prepare them for production processing.
- Remove parts from racks or bars after processing and ensure they are handled carefully.
- Complete all required paperwork in accordance with company and processing guidelines.
- Visually inspect parts and racks to confirm proper attachment and quality before and after processing.
- Assist production operators as needed to keep the workflow efficient and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient production.
- Strong visual inspection skills to identify issues with parts and racking.
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts and securely wire or clip them to racks.
- High attention to detail to ensure accurate racking, documentation, and processing.
- Ability to perform general production and assembly tasks as part of the workflow.
- Capability to perform paint preparation or similar pre-processing tasks when required.
- Ability to read work orders in English and follow written instructions accurately.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion.
- Some production experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in completing work.
- High school diploma or GED required.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a production facility working primarily with small parts on racks and hoists. Positions are available on 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) and 3rd shift (10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.), with training for 3rd shift conducted on 2nd shift for approximately 3–4 weeks. Employees should be able to work 1–2 hours of overtime per day when needed, and voluntary overtime is available on Saturdays. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring safe handling of parts and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, with appropriate work attire suitable for a production and assembly setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
