Job Description

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with various individuals or groups, completing work orders and maintaining records, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, and operating various types of material handling equipment. This role also involves maintaining grounds and facilities, assisting other technicians, and troubleshooting basic equipment problems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and in writing.
• Complete work orders, records, logs, and other documents according to established procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered machinery.
• Clean and maintain grounds, parking lots, fencing, and building facilities.
• Assist other maintenance technicians in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot basic problems with equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in mechanical and facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge in building maintenance, drywall, painting, and plumbing.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in repairing or maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment in an industrial or non-industrial setting, or 2 years of related vocational training.
• Preferred: 1 year's experience in an industrial setting.

Work Environment

Our team works primarily during the night shifts from 10 PM to 8 AM, Tuesday to Saturday morning. You will work in varied environments that may include exposure to extreme temperatures, wet or damp conditions, and high noise levels. The role requires handling substances that require special care, moving over uneven surfaces, and working at heights or in enclosed spaces.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minooka, IL.

The pay range for this position is $32.55 - $32.55/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Minooka,IL.
