What You'll Do
  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Load sheet metal into machines while ensuring accurate measurements
  • Read tape measures and perform basic calculations to meet production specifications
  • Inspect materials and finished products to maintain quality standards
  • Lift, move, and position sheet metal and building materials throughout the production process
  • Build, package, and prepare products for shipment
  • Use a banding gun to palletize and securely strap finished orders
  • Assist with loading, unloading, wrapping, and staging materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
What We're Looking For
  • Manufacturing, production, or general labor experience
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Experience operating machinery and using hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in metal fabrication or sheet metal production
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks
  • Experience in construction, assembly, packaging, or warehouse operations
  • Experience with cutting, bending, and handling metal materials
  • Ability to regularly lift 50-60 pounds throughout the shift

Work Environment

This position is based in a metal fabrication facility that is not temperature-controlled, requiring employees to work in varying conditions throughout the year. The role is active and physical, involving standing, lifting, bending, and material handling throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.65 - $19.65/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
