We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support core people operations for a Contract position based in Arlington, Virginia. This role will help create a smooth employee experience by managing onboarding activities, maintaining accurate HR records, and supporting compliance-related processes. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment with confidential information, and the ability to keep multiple administrative priorities moving efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding activities, including document collection, orientation scheduling, and timely completion of onboarding steps.
• Administer background screening processes and follow up with candidates, recruitment teams, and vendors to ensure clear and efficient communication.
• Maintain employee information within HR systems, keeping records accurate, current, and aligned with company policies.
• Support day-to-day HR administration by preparing employment documents, tracking status updates, and responding to routine employee inquiries.
• Assist with compliance efforts by organizing required documentation, monitoring deadlines, and helping ensure adherence to HR policies and regulations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate a consistent and positive onboarding experience for new employees.
• Review personnel files and HR data for completeness, accuracy, and proper handling of confidential information.• Experience supporting onboarding and employee administration activities in an HR environment.
• Familiarity with pre-employment coordination and related processes.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to manage employee data accurately.
• Understanding of HR compliance practices, recordkeeping standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, candidates, and internal teams.
• High attention to detail and a dependable approach to administrative follow-through.
