We are looking for a Payroll Associate to support payroll operations for a workforce of approximately 140 employees in Washington, District of Columbia. This is a Contract position focused on delivering accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple pay cycles for both commercial and government-funded projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, practical experience with ADP Workforce Now, and the ability to manage payroll-related transactions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for employees across different business segments while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain payroll records and complete employee-related updates, including changes that affect pay, deductions, and employment status.
• Administer wage garnishments and other payroll adjustments in compliance with applicable requirements and deadlines.
• Handle payroll activities associated with union employees, including contract-specific pay considerations and reporting needs.
• Prepare certified payroll documentation for public works assignments and verify that submissions meet project and regulatory standards.
• Review payroll data for discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve processing concerns before finalizing each pay cycle.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll workflows, employee transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support payroll continuity and assist with related administrative tasks as needed.• Hands-on experience processing payroll for an employee population of roughly 101 to 500 workers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll across multiple pay frequencies, including weekly and biweekly cycles.
• Working knowledge of wage garnishments and other payroll deductions.
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing and employee record maintenance.
• Familiarity with payroll requirements tied to union environments is required.
• Ability to produce certified payroll reports for government or public works projects.
• Strong accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven setting.
