Drafter
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate AutoCAD drawings for architectural wall systems and supporting projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial quotation and design development through final installation. This is an excellent opportunity for a drafting professional with a passion for architecture, interior design, and construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings for architectural wall and interior systems.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, architects, designers, and installation teams to ensure project requirements are accurately captured.
- Support projects from the quoting and design phase through manufacturing and final installation.
- Prepare and maintain construction documents, specifications, and related project documentation.
- Review architectural plans, blueprints, and project requirements to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance.
- Incorporate design revisions and updates based on customer and project needs.
- Organize and maintain drawing files and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to produce detailed architectural and interior design drawings.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, drafting standards, and space planning principles.
- Experience interpreting and creating construction documents and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate degree in Architectural Design, Interior Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in architectural interiors, commercial construction, or building products.
- Familiarity with Revit and other BIM software is a plus.
- Knowledge of architectural wall systems, interior construction, or furniture systems is preferred.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
