Job Description
Lead and coordinate a concrete crew of up to five operators and laborers, ensuring framing, pours, and finishing work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. Maintain project schedules, manage materials and equipment, track jobsite progress, and work closely with the superintendent to keep projects running smoothly.
Responsibilities- Create and maintain detailed project schedules for concrete framing, pours, and finishing activities.
- Manage and supervise a crew of up to five people, including operators and laborers, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
- Run daily morning meetings to review tasks, timelines, safety protocols, and productivity goals.
- Order materials and equipment as needed, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Submit regular reports and document jobsite progress, including productivity, milestones, and any issues or delays.
- Track daily productivity and adjust work plans to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Work hand-in-hand with the superintendent to coordinate activities, resolve problems, and keep the job running smoothly.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with established safety procedures and protocols.
- Lead and participate in concrete pours and finishing work, providing guidance and support to the crew.
- Maintain clear communication in both Spanish and English with crew members and project stakeholders.
- Drive to various job sites using a personal vehicle and arrive punctually for scheduled shifts.
- Support installation and concrete work tasks as needed to keep projects on track.
- At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory position on a concrete crew.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills with proven ability to manage a 5-person crew.
- Extensive hands-on experience with concrete work, including framing, pours, and finishing.
- Ability to maintain and manage project schedules and timelines.
- Experience ordering and managing materials and equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory.
- Comfort and proficiency in writing reports and tracking jobsite progress.
- Ability to enforce and follow safety procedures and protocols consistently.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with crews.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a personal vehicle to job sites.
- Experience as a concrete finisher and installer.
- Strong organizational skills to handle scheduling, ordering, and inventory management.
- Ability to run structured morning meetings and communicate daily goals clearly.
- Comfort working in the field at active client sites and construction projects.
- Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance for long workdays.
- Willingness to work occasional Saturdays when project demands require.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in the field at client sites and active job projects, focusing on concrete pours, framing, and finishing while running the crew and managing timelines. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional Saturday work as needed, offering approximately 40 hours per week with some additional overtime potential. You will work outdoors and on construction sites, overseeing crews and coordinating activities with the superintendent. Steel toe boots are required, and other necessary equipment is provided. Travel between job sites in the local area is required, using your own vehicle.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
