We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Greenwich, Connecticut, in a hybrid work arrangement with four days in the office and one day remote. This Long-term Contract opportunity will support core accounting operations, entity-level financial reporting, and analysis for a dynamic business environment. The role works closely with accounting leadership and offers the chance to strengthen controls, support new accounting matters, and help improve financial processes through effective collaboration.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting activity and review profit and loss performance for assigned legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, completing reconciliations, and performing detailed variance analysis.
• Produce monthly financial reports and present meaningful insights to senior leadership on operating results and trends.
• Prepare annual audited financial statements and serve as a key contact for external auditors during the audit process.
• Assess the accounting impact of new standards, transactions, and business initiatives, and support their implementation.
• Partner with technology and cross-functional teams to enhance accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and increase automation.
• Maintain the general ledger for assigned entities and ensure supporting documentation is complete and well organized.
• Monitor account activity, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, to resolve discrepancies and uphold financial accuracy.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least five years of accounting experience in a corporate or similar environment.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting, and data validation.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in brokerage or financial services environments is preferred.
• CPA designation or active progress toward certification is preferred.
