Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in developing applications in C++ and C# environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment or automated test systems and a proven track record of technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop applications using C++ and C# for semiconductor manufacturing equipment or automated test systems.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers, leading projects, and serving as a team lead.
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as CANopen or EtherCAT.
- Integrate software with motors, sensors, vision systems, robotics, and other electromechanical components.
- Support products throughout the entire lifecycle, including new product development, system integration, deployment, and sustaining engineering.
- Validate and test software directly on physical machinery or automated equipment.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7-10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in C++ development.
- Experience with object-oriented programming principles and software design methodologies.
- Experience in developing Windows desktop applications and maintaining large-scale PC-based software applications.
- Hands-on experience integrating software with hardware systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in using source control and project management tools such as Git, Jira, and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software issues on complex physical machinery and equipment.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, system integration, testing, and deployment processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in motion control, robotics, machine automation, or other complex industrial control systems.
- Experience developing software for highly automated equipment within semiconductor, medical device, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing environments.
This is a Permanent position based out of Poway, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $113000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
401(k) with company match 5% annual profit sharing
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Poway,CA.
