Data Coordinator
Job Description
The Data Coordinator plays a key role in managing raw material information by collecting, reviewing, and organizing regulatory, technical, and sustainability documentation from suppliers and internal databases. This role supports chemists in formula development, partners closely with global R&D and Product Lifecycle Management teams, and drives improvements in digital tools, systems, and processes to enhance data quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Collect, review, and organize raw material regulatory, technical, and sustainability documentation from suppliers and internal databases.
- Support chemists by ensuring timely availability of raw materials and related documentation needed for formula development.
- Prioritize raw materials for review and update based on regulatory requirements, business needs, and project timelines.
- Track progress and maintain clear visibility of outstanding documentation requests, following up as needed to ensure completion.
- Partner with global R&D and Product Lifecycle Management teams to obtain, validate, and maintain accurate raw material information.
- Observe and understand current workflows and pain points, gather input from stakeholders, and translate needs into actionable process improvements.
- Create, improve, and maintain Excel-based tools for tracking, reporting, and automation to support data management and documentation workflows.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new software or systems related to data management and documentation.
- Develop simple, practical digital solutions that improve operational efficiency and enhance data quality.
- Assist with documentation and process mapping to clearly define procedures and improve consistency.
- Prepare basic computer training materials and provide support to help team members effectively use digital tools and systems.
- Perform administrative duties and data entry tasks to ensure accurate and up-to-date records for raw materials and related documentation.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in data management, automation, and documentation practices.
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel, including creating and maintaining tools for tracking, reporting, and automation.
- Experience with data entry and data management, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to collect, review, and organize regulatory, technical, and sustainability documentation for raw materials.
- Capability to prioritize tasks and documentation requests based on business needs, requirements, and timelines.
- Skill in tracking progress and maintaining visibility of outstanding documentation and information requests.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global R&D and Product Lifecycle Management teams.
- Competence in observing workflows, identifying pain points, and translating stakeholder input into process improvements.
- Comfort with supporting the implementation and adoption of new software or systems.
- Strong administrative skills to support documentation, process mapping, and training material development.
- Background in science or engineering preferred, providing an understanding of technical and raw material-related information.
- Science or engineering educational Background is preferred and beneficial for understanding raw material and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with raw materials and their role in formula development.
- Experience developing simple digital solutions that improve efficiency and data quality.
- Ability to create clear documentation and process maps to support consistent workflows.
- Experience preparing basic computer training materials and supporting users in adopting new tools.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple documentation requests simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional and global teams.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Darien, CT, with a standard schedule of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 regular hours per week. The position involves working in an office environment using computers, Excel, and other digital tools and systems to manage data and documentation. The role requires regular collaboration with R&D and Product Lifecycle Management teams, as well as interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The work focuses on structured data management, documentation, and process improvement in a professional setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
