The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports day-to-day recruiting operations and talent programs by coordinating interviews, managing candidate communication, and ensuring a seamless hiring and onboarding experience. This role partners closely with recruiters, hiring teams, and external agencies to maintain efficient workflows, uphold compliance standards, and drive continuous improvements across Talent Acquisition processes. The position is ideal for a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong working relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day Talent Acquisition programs and operations, including recruiting coordination, recruiting events, talent attraction initiatives, employee referral activities, and social media and job posting support.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate logistics across candidates, recruiters, and hiring teams to ensure timely and well-organized interview processes.
  • Manage candidate communication throughout the interview, offer, onboarding, and pre-employment process to provide a seamless and positive candidate experience.
  • Support offer generation, onboarding coordination, and other recruiting operational activities to help ensure timely and accurate hiring execution.
  • Maintain recruiting trackers, schedules, and operational documentation to support hiring workflows and provide accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Assist with planning and execution of recruiting events, such as career fairs, and other Talent Acquisition initiatives.
  • Coordinate operational activities across cross-functional teams and external partners, including staffing agencies and other vendors.
  • Ensure recruiting activities, processes, and documentation align with compliance and audit standards.
  • Perform other related duties and provide support for Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Support recruitment technology implementation and operational process improvements to enhance the efficiency of Talent Acquisition programs.
  • Track recruiting metrics and support reporting efforts to provide insights into hiring activities and outcomes.
  • Assist with improving workflows, coordination processes, and operational efficiencies across Talent Acquisition programs.
  • Manage contractor requests from all temporary agencies, including onboarding, feedback, termination, and conversion processes.
  • Develop and maintain a system to manually track contractor progress, feedback to agencies, conversion details, and related documentation.
  • Conduct extensive follow-up with agencies, candidates, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely responses and clear communication.
  • Use strong email communication skills to document and organize all correspondence in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR and other departments to support hiring needs and maintain strong working relationships.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Coordination, Program Coordination, or a related function; relevant internship experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, talent acquisition, or full-cycle recruiting activities.
  • Experience coordinating interviews, scheduling, onboarding, or recruiting operations.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting systems.
  • Experience with contractor or vendor management, including coordination with temporary staffing agencies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially via email.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage extensive follow-up and keep thorough, organized records of communication and progress.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build productive working relationships.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and responsiveness in supporting recruiting and hiring activities.
  • Familiarity with compliance monitoring and ensuring recruiting activities align with audit standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and professional experience.
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM platforms or scheduling tools is preferred.
  • Experience working career fairs or recruiting events.
  • Experience with talent attraction initiatives, employee referral programs, and social media or job posting support.
  • Bilingual skills are a strong plus.
  • Experience in relationship management with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of acquisitions and broader HR or Talent Acquisition programs is beneficial.
Work Environment

This role is fully onsite in an office-based environment within the HR department, working primarily in a cubicle setting. The position operates in a fast-paced, professional environment with frequent interaction with recruiters, hiring managers, candidates, and external agency partners. Standard office technologies and tools, including Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems, and HR platforms such as Workday, are used regularly. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Olive Branch, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
