Job Description
Join a busy warehouse operations team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Picker Packer, where you support production and distribution by accurately pulling and packing orders, managing inventory, receiving materials, and preparing shipments. This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders and specifications.
- Use hand-scanners and a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to perform all picking, packing, and inventory transactions.
- Inspect merchandise for quality, completeness, and accuracy before packing.
- Prepare items for shipment, including selecting proper packaging materials, labeling cartons, and ensuring product safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular inventory counts as needed.
- Prepare completed orders for loading onto trucks for delivery, following all applicable safety regulations.
- Follow all warehouse safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with other warehouse team members to meet daily order fulfillment and shipping targets.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Support general warehouse duties as needed, including basic material handling and shipping tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a warehouse, production floor, or supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with quality control systems, preferably in a GMP, ISO, or HACCP environment.
- Ability to use hand-scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for picking, packing, and inventory activities.
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to type and work on a computer for documentation and data entry.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and supervisors.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail when recording inventory and shipment information.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and adaptable in a team-focused environment.
- Capability to perform general labor and warehouse shipping tasks.
- Ability to work with warehouse inventory processes and procedures.
- Experience operating a forklift or other warehouse material-handling equipment.
- Previous experience in a picker/packer or shipping and receiving role.
- Background in environments that follow GMP, ISO, or HACCP standards.
- Comfort working with basic office and warehouse software tools.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, procedures, and equipment.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a warehouse setting with a standard schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You work around production and distribution activities, using hand-scanners, a Warehouse Management System (WMS), computers, and material-handling equipment such as forklifts. The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with established warehouse safety regulations and quality control standards, including GMP, ISO, or HACCP practices. The position involves general labor and warehouse tasks, standing and moving throughout the shift, and working in a clean, organized facility where appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse environment is expected.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Jefferson, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
