Job Description
Join a growing organization as a Shipping and Receiving Inventory Control Specialist, where you will manage raw materials and finished goods from initial receipt through final shipment. You will process work orders, maintain accurate inventory records in an ERP system, and support smooth warehouse and production operations.
Responsibilities- Receive, verify, and log incoming raw materials and components according to established procedures.
- Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy of quantities, documentation, and labeling.
- Process work orders in the ERP system, updating status, quantities, and material movements in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory control by recording stock levels, performing regular counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Move raw materials from receiving into appropriate stock locations and stage materials for production as needed.
- Coordinate the flow of materials from stock to shipment, ensuring orders are fulfilled on schedule.
- Use ERP and inventory systems to track materials, monitor stock levels, and support planning and scheduling activities.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to resolve inventory and shipping issues.
- Ensure all shipping and receiving documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed or uploaded.
- Follow facility procedures and compliance requirements related to controlled materials and shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in shipping, receiving, and inventory storage locations.
- Hands-on experience in shipping and receiving operations.
- Proven experience processing work orders in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong inventory control skills, including tracking, counting, and reconciling stock.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems for inventory and work order management.
- Ability to use shipping and receiving tools and systems to prepare and process shipments.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and documentation.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort working with digital records and systems.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or production environments and material flow.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple orders and tasks.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams.
- Ability to follow established procedures and compliance guidelines in a controlled facility.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an indoor, air-conditioned facility that operates under ITAR regulations, requiring adherence to specific compliance standards. You will work in a controlled environment focused on accurate material handling and documentation, with access to ERP and inventory systems and typical shipping and receiving equipment. The setting emphasizes safety, organization, and comfort while supporting efficient warehouse and production activities.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Petersburg, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
