Job Description
The Production Technician supports the assembly, configuration, and testing of customer-specific medical system racks. In this role, you assemble integrated hardware systems, route and install cables, verify product functionality, and ensure all work meets established quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble medical system racks using wiring diagrams, schematics, port maps, and detailed work instructions.
- Route, install, and securely fasten cables, wiring harnesses, and electronic components within integrated hardware systems.
- Configure and verify system components to meet customer-specific requirements and performance expectations.
- Perform quality inspections at multiple stages of the production process to ensure products meet specifications.
- Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities to confirm proper system functionality.
- Complete all required production documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures and requirements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and manufacturing efficiencies and communicate them to the team.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience.
- Experience with electrical assembly or assembly line work.
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, port maps, and written work instructions.
- Hands-on experience with cable routing, wiring, harness assembly, or electronic component installation.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while consistently maintaining quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electromechanical assembly experience.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries such as aerospace or electronics.
- Troubleshooting and testing experience with electronic or electromechanical systems.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience working with manufacturing documentation and quality records.
- Familiarity with ERP or production tracking systems.
- Soldering experience.
- Understanding of low-voltage electrical systems.

Work Environment
This role follows an alternative day-shift schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour workdays. The facility is part of a fairly large campus, while the specific warehouse and production area where you will work is relatively small and focused. You will handle delicate and high-value medical products and components, so careful attention to detail and adherence to handling procedures are critical. The environment is a manufacturing and production setting with integrated hardware systems, cables, and electronic assemblies, requiring consistent focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
