Job Description
The Electrical Systems Engineer supports the integration of complex electronic and electrical systems into military aircraft, including communications, navigation, satellite, GPS, RF, weapon, and other mission systems. This role leads electrical systems design, aircraft integration, and project-related testing, ensuring all work complies with customer Statements of Work, system specifications, manuals, and other technical documentation. The engineer performs detailed electrical systems calculations, defines power distribution and interface requirements, and documents solutions clearly and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of electrical and electronic systems into military aircraft, including communications, navigation, satellite, GPS, RF, weapon, and mission systems.
- Analyze and interpret customer Statements of Work (SOW), system specifications, manuals, and related documents to determine electrical system implementation and integration requirements.
- Develop electrical system architectures, power distribution schemes, and interface requirements for integration into aircraft platforms.
- Perform systems integration activities, including calculations for electrical loads, power distribution, and interface compatibility.
- Evaluate and address Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Vulnerability (EMV) interactions and effects within aircraft systems.
- Use engineering tools such as SolidWorks and Creo 3D to support electrical systems design, modeling, and integration activities.
- Prepare clear and comprehensive technical documents, including reports, specifications, and integration procedures, as required by project needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper installation, integration, and testing of electrical systems in aircraft.
- Participate in and support testing activities to validate electrical system performance and compliance with requirements.
- Apply strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during design, integration, and test phases.
- Utilize computer systems and software applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel to develop presentations, documentation, and analysis.
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders to provide updates, clarify requirements, and present technical findings.
- Maintain the ability to attain and uphold the required US Government Security Clearance for access to controlled information and environments.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 1 to 5 years of job-related experience working on military aircraft, preferably on H60 platforms.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems integration in aircraft, including power distribution and interface requirements.
- Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Vulnerability (EMV) interactions and effects in aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in using engineering design tools such as SolidWorks and Creo 3D for electrical systems and integration work.
- Strong analytical skills for performing electrical systems calculations and solving complex integration challenges.
- Ability to write clear, accurate, and detailed technical documents, reports, and specifications.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and presenting technical information.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Eligibility and ability to attain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakehurst, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $65.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
