Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime, maintaining production quality, and supporting a safe and efficient operation. The technician works closely with production teams to identify potential issues early, carries out preventive maintenance, and responds promptly to emergency repair needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and automated manufacturing equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and document work performed.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to identify potential equipment issues before they escalate and recommend corrective actions.
  • Diagnose problems using technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Install, adjust, and maintain motors, conveyors, and other industrial equipment and components.
  • Perform electrical maintenance tasks, including work on three-phase power systems, wiring, and control circuits, in accordance with safety standards.
  • Support maintenance of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related automation equipment.
  • Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or basic computer tools to track maintenance activities and generate reports.
  • Carry out repairs involving welding and mechanical fabrication as needed to restore equipment to proper operation.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and safely to restore production and maintain product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area and follow all facility safety procedures and guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and reporting maintenance activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-volume production settings.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking, reporting, and communication.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and follow established maintenance procedures.
  • Capability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends when necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems and hydraulic components in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems and industrial power distribution.
  • Experience with conveyors, motors, and other common manufacturing equipment.
  • Welding skills for equipment repair and fabrication.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
