Garage Door Technician- Weekly Pay

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Pay: $20-$22/hour

Hours: Monday-Friday,

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Garage Door Installation Technician. In this role, you will be an integral part of a two-person crew responsible for installing and maintaining garage doors on various commercial job sites. This position offers opportunities for growth, with laborers having the potential to advance to lead roles.

Responsibilities:

• Meet at the shop every morning and travel to various job sites with the crew.
• Assist in the hardwiring of doors, setting tracks, and installing springs.
• Perform physically demanding installations and work in varying weather conditions.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely.
• Collaborate with the lead to ensure successful and timely installation of garage doors.

Essential Skills:

• 1-2 years of construction experience.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Proficiency in using a tape measure.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work in outdoor environments, including cold weather.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of installation experience related to garage doors is ideal but not required.
• Mechanical, troubleshooting, and electrical repair skills.
• Blueprint reading capabilities.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one within six months.

Work Environment:

Work on commercial job sites installing garage doors. Be prepared for regional travel, with the advantage of returning home every night. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-5, with very limited and voluntary Saturday work. This is a Contract position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Sioux Falls,SD.
