Job Title: PackerJob Description

As an Inspector Packer, you will play a crucial role at the end of the production line for plastic or foam cups, clam shell to-go containers, small condiment containers, and related food containers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality and accuracy of products before they are packaged.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect products and count them based on numbers or weights before packaging.
  • Package products in plastic sleeves or bags and seal the ends.
  • Place packaged products into boxes according to specifications.
  • Assemble boxes as needed for packaging.
  • Organize and load boxes onto skids for transport.
  • Use a manual pallet jack to move products within the production or staging area.
  • Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Document tasks both in writing and on a computer, including updating packed numbers and noting any inspection deviations.
  • Stand at a table to perform tasks and lift up to 20-25 pounds repetitively.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in packing, inspecting, production, and packaging.
  • Attention to detail and reliability in attendance.
  • Ability to stand for an entire shift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior production or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment can be loud, requiring hearing protection. It is warm to hot due to machines emitting heat, and there may be a slight odor from the plastic. Safety is a priority, necessitating the use of a hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses at all times. You will be required to move between multiple stations involved in inspecting and packaging products.

This is a Contract position based out of Leola, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
