We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Turning Machinist to contribute to our advanced manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
  • Machine parts to specifications using lathe machines.
  • Work from blueprints, engineering instructions, and specifications.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
  • Manufacture high-end aerospace machine parts.
Essential Skills
  • 4 years of CNC turning experience, preferably with a focus on turning.
  • Proficiency with turning centers and lathe machines.
  • Experience in CNC machine operation, particularly CNC turning and milling.
  • Skill in machine setup and operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with precision instruments like micrometers.

Work Environment

Work in one of four state-of-the-art facilities located in Connecticut, focusing on aerospace/defense components. Choose between the 5am-5pm or 5pm-5am shift from Friday to Sunday, enjoying a 25% shift differential. The role requires adherence to precision and quality standards in a technologically advanced setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44000.00 - $65000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
