Job Description
Join a precision-focused electronics team as an Electronic Assembler, where you will repair, assemble, and test a variety of electronic devices and components. In this role, you work at your own bench performing detailed electronic assembly and troubleshooting on products such as PCB boards, motherboards, computer systems, and point-of-sale equipment, ensuring each unit meets strict quality standards before it is returned to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Perform bench work to repair and service electronic devices including PCB boards, motherboards, computer systems, and related parts.
- Troubleshoot printer boards, register boards, and receipt boards to identify and resolve electronic faults.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to accurately complete repair and assembly orders.
- Use small hand and power tools such as crimping equipment, screwdrivers, small drills, and needle-nose pliers to perform assembly and repair tasks.
- Solder wires and components when needed to ensure proper electrical connections.
- Test finished repairs to verify proper functionality and performance before returning products.
- Perform quality assurance and inspection on all completed repairs to ensure they meet established standards.
- Complete small sub-assemblies of caps for circuit boards and PCB boards.
- Remove caps from motherboards and install and test newly installed caps for proper operation.
- Work independently at an assigned bench, managing daily tasks and repair workload with minimal supervision.
- Service and assemble point-of-sale systems and receipt printers using established electronic assembly and testing procedures.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the shift.
Essential Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in electronic assembly, electronic repair, or electronic technician work.
- Hands-on experience with electronic assembly functions, including servicing and assembling POS systems and receipt printers.
- Ability to troubleshoot electronic components and systems using basic diagnostic methods.
- Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions and simplified blueprints.
- Proficiency using basic small hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, crimping tools, and small drills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, reflecting the average weight of typical products handled.
- Attention to detail and accuracy when performing electronic repairs, testing, and quality inspections.
- Capability to work independently at a bench while managing assigned tasks efficiently.

Work Environment
This is a neat, organized, and well-structured electronics repair and assembly facility. The workspace is well lit and temperature controlled, providing a comfortable setting for detailed bench work. Each employee has an individual workbench equipped for electronic repair and assembly, where they can independently handle assigned products such as PCB boards, motherboards, computer systems, POS systems, and receipt printers. Work is performed on a first shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., using small hand and power tools, soldering equipment, and testing devices in a clean, safety-conscious environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Heights, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
