Our client, a well-established and highly respected Texas law firm, is seeking an experienced Transactional Real Estate Attorney to join its San Antonio office. The firm strongly prefers an attorney who is based in San Antonio, but will also consider a qualified attorney located in Corpus Christi.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with strong commercial real estate experience who enjoys working directly with sophisticated clients on complex transactions.
The Opportunity
The attorney will handle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, representing corporations, partnerships, developers, joint ventures, professional organizations, and individual investors. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing transactions from initial negotiations through closing and will have strong drafting, negotiation, and client-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the full lifecycle of commercial real estate transactions, from LOI through closing
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and other transactional documents
Represent buyers and sellers in acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
Advise clients throughout due diligence, title review, financing, and closing
Handle landlord and tenant matters involving retail, office, warehouse, industrial, and ground leases
Assist with real estate development and construction matters
Advise clients regarding commercial lending and private financing transactions
Work on farm and ranch real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leases, easements, and fencing agreements
Advise clients regarding restrictive covenants, HOA matters, and like-kind exchanges
Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, business, energy, oil & gas, tax, and litigation practice areas on complex matters
Qualifications
4+ years of transactional real estate experience
Strong experience with commercial real estate transactions
Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, and related agreements
Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail
Texas Bar admission in good standing
Strong business judgment and the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice
