Job Description
The Production Operator will operate high-heat production equipment used in the manufacture of various products in an adverse, hands-on industrial environment. This role involves working at heights of 10–15 feet, wearing a respirator, and consistently lifting 50+ pounds while maintaining strong attention to detail and safe work practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate high-heat production equipment safely and efficiently to support continuous manufacturing processes.
- Work at heights of approximately 10–15 feet while following all safety procedures and using required fall protection as directed.
- Lift and move materials weighing 50+ pounds on a consistent basis as part of daily production activities.
- Handle and process carbon-based products that generate dust and residue, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Monitor machines and production lines, identifying and reporting any issues or irregularities promptly.
- Follow established production procedures, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure products meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in a high-heat, dusty environment, adhering to housekeeping and safety guidelines.
- Wear and maintain required PPE, including respirator, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes, throughout the shift.
- Apply strong math skills to measure materials, interpret production data, and perform basic calculations as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and support smooth shift operations.
- Arrive reliably for scheduled 12-hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off schedule and follow all attendance and timekeeping policies.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of experience in general labor, manufacturing, construction, machine operation, or other hands-on production environments.
- Comfort working at heights of approximately 10–15 feet while following safety guidelines.
- Ability to wear a respirator and other required PPE for extended periods in a production setting.
- Capability to consistently lift and move 50+ pounds throughout the workday.
- Strong math skills to support production measurements, calculations, and basic data interpretation.
- Ability to work a 4-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Reliable work habits, including consistent attendance and punctuality in a shift-based environment.

- Experience operating production machinery or equipment in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Work Environment
The role is based in a heavy industrial production facility that works with carbon products, resulting in significant black dust and dirt on hands, clothing, and equipment. The environment is high-heat and physically demanding, requiring comfort with adverse conditions and frequent manual material handling. Team members wear full PPE, including a respirator, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes, and must be willing to be fitted for and use a respirator regularly. The position follows a 4-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, and work is primarily hands-on around production machinery and equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
