Job Description
This role focuses on assembling mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will use a variety of hand, power, and hydraulic tools to build products according to work instructions, blueprints, and manuals, while accurately measuring and converting between metric and imperial units. The position requires at least six months of prior assembly experience and a strong willingness to learn and train in multiple areas.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly tasks using hand, power, and hydraulic tools in a large manufacturing environment.
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and manuals to assemble components accurately and safely.
- Use tape measures and other measuring tools to work with both metric and imperial units, including performing basic conversions.
- Maintain consistent productivity while standing for at least 75% of the workday on concrete floors.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
- Adapt to training in multiple areas of the production line to support different buildings and processes as needed.
- Take direction well from supervisors and leads, and respond positively to feedback and instruction.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support production schedules and overtime requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in a dark, dusty, and sometimes dirty environment.
- Collaborate with teammates and leadership to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Minimum of 6 months of prior assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or manuals.
- Proficiency with tape measures and understanding of both metric and imperial measurement systems, including unit conversions.
- Comfort working in a large manufacturing environment with multiple buildings and production areas.
- Willingness to train in and adapt to multiple areas of the production process.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (at least 75% of the time) on concrete floors.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and work under direction from supervisors.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- No high school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in mechanical assembly, hydraulic assembly, or electrical assembly.
- Experience working from blueprints in a production or industrial setting.
- Comfort working in dark, musky, and dirty areas of a facility.
- Interest in developing skills that can lead to higher certifications and internal advancement.
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts and overtime, including Fridays when needed.
- Positive attitude toward continuous learning and cross-training.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a large manufacturing facility with multiple buildings and concrete floors where you will stand for most of your shift. The environment can be dark, musky, and dirty in some areas, and you will work around industrial equipment and tools. Metatarsal steel-toe footwear is required. Safety glasses and hearing protection are mandatory and provided. All tools and equipment needed for the job are supplied on site. Typical attire includes jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt; shorts and sweatpants are not allowed. You will work 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, with first shift running from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with overtime available on Fridays.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shady Grove, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.
