Job Description
The Senior Coordinator plays a key role in supporting sales and account management activities by maintaining accurate customer and program records, resolving inquiries, and driving profitable growth within an assigned territory or market segment. This hybrid position combines inside sales support, customer service, and administrative responsibilities, with a strong focus on data accuracy, proactive outreach, and collaboration with field leadership and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account contact information, venue details, and program records in the customer management system, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries related to SKU rationalizations, pricing changes, asset transfers, and ownership changes, ensuring clear communication and successful resolution.
- Handle account requests including account setup and maintenance, equipment service coordination, accounting disputes, product tracking, and delivery claims, using efficient processes to drive timely outcomes.
- Collect information from internal and external customers to identify root causes of issues and implement creative solutions that protect customer relationships and support timely, accurate delivery of products and services.
- Participate in business planning with field leadership and customer account managers to set business goals, identify customer support needs, and uncover opportunities to achieve sales targets.
- Conduct proactive sales and support outreach calls by customer tier, focusing on driving results and strengthening relationships within the assigned portfolio.
- Develop and manage a personal sales strategy to identify opportunities within the existing customer base, aiming for profitable and successful sales outcomes.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with current customers in the assigned territory or market segment to generate new product sales and expand business.
- Measure and report weekly sales performance and regional activities to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales goals are met, and adjust tactics as needed to drive results.
- Prepare and submit activity and results reports, including monthly and annual portfolio performance analyses, to support tracking, benchmarking, and goal attainment.
- Manage designated beverage business leads by qualifying and converting them into new business activations or disqualifying opportunities that are not aligned with business objectives.
- Support monthly and annual sales quotas by managing qualified CRM opportunities through to closure, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Actively participate in division sales team calls to share updates, collaborate on strategies, and align with broader regional and organizational goals.
- Make in-person annual regional visits or periodic business travel as needed to foster collaboration, strengthen customer relationships, and support sales initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between field teams, office staff, and support departments regarding policy changes, inventory updates, and unscheduled system or support interruptions, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Use Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook and Excel, to perform data entry, track activities, analyze performance, and prepare reports that support sales and account management efforts.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a role with account management or customer service responsibilities.
- Proven ability to think on your feet and respond effectively to changing situations and customer needs.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and ensure data consistency.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple accounts, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience in sales support or inside sales, with a focus on supporting sales teams and customer accounts.
- Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and problem resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook for communication and Excel for data entry and reporting.
- Comfort working with KPIs and performance metrics, and the ability to measure, track, and report on sales activities.
- Ability to manage CRM opportunities and follow structured processes to move leads through qualification to closure.
- Effective collaboration skills to work closely with field leadership, sales teams, and support departments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience in the coffee, beverage, or foodservice industry is preferred.
- Experience with SKU rationalizations, pricing changes, and asset or ownership transfers is an advantage.
- Background in administrative support in a sales or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with inside sales support processes and tools.
- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to prepare performance analyses and activity reports for monthly and annual review.
- Comfort conducting proactive outreach calls to customers across different tiers.
- Capability to develop and execute a personal sales strategy within an existing customer portfolio.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with on-site work typically scheduled Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position is based in a downtown location where public transit, such as bus service, is often preferred due to the cost of parking. The work environment centers around office-based activities, including frequent use of a customer management system, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications for communication, data entry, and reporting. You collaborate regularly with field leadership, sales teams, and support departments through calls, virtual meetings, and occasional in-person regional visits or business travel. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
