The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a key role in ensuring that inventory moves accurately and efficiently through the facility. This position requires an energetic, relationship-minded professional who works independently, creates clear plans, schedules tasks effectively, and completes responsibilities with a high level of excellence. Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, labeling, and staging small to mid-sized packages for carrier pickup.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including counting, tracking, and updating inventory control systems.
  • Organize and store materials in an orderly and accessible manner within the warehouse or storage areas.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely to move, load, and unload products as needed.
  • Create daily work plans, schedule tasks, and manage priorities to meet shipping and receiving deadlines.
  • Inspect packages and materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Use a computer and keyboard to enter data, update inventory information, and generate shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory-related questions or issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company standards.

  • Inventory and inventory control skills, including counting, tracking, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or similar material-handling equipment safely and effectively.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse or distribution setting focused on shipping, receiving, and inventory control. The work involves frequent movement around the facility, lifting and carrying small to mid-sized packages, and operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment. You will regularly use a computer and keyboard for data entry and documentation related to inventory and shipments. The environment is active and hands-on, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace. Dress is practical and appropriate for a warehouse setting, suitable for operating equipment and handling packages.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
