We are seeking a dedicated FOD Inspector to perform routine inspections throughout active construction, commissioning, and turnover areas. The role involves identifying and documenting foreign object debris, contamination risks, and housekeeping deficiencies while ensuring compliance with site-specific FOD prevention programs.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine FOD inspections in active construction, commissioning, and turnover areas.
  • Identify and document foreign object debris, contamination risks, and housekeeping deficiencies.
  • Monitor compliance with site-specific FOD prevention programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform daily audits of work areas, storage locations, access routes, and critical equipment spaces.
  • Coordinate with field leadership and subcontractors to ensure identified deficiencies are corrected promptly.
  • Track and maintain FOD inspection logs, corrective action reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Verify adherence to proper tool control, material storage, and inventory accountability procedures.
  • Participate in site walks, safety meetings, quality reviews, and turnover readiness assessments.
  • Assist with clean zone management and contamination prevention efforts within critical environments.
  • Support commissioning and startup teams by ensuring equipment and infrastructure remain free from debris and potential contaminants.
  • Educate project personnel on FOD prevention standards and best practices.
  • Escalate recurring compliance issues to project leadership and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain awareness of work activities that may create contamination or damage risks to critical systems and equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks in dynamic jobsite environments.
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, or compliance reviews.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting platforms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial operations, quality control, or facilities operations.
  • Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or industrial construction projects.
  • Previous quality control, safety, commissioning, or facilities maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with FOD prevention programs and clean construction practices.
  • Knowledge of equipment protection standards and contamination control procedures.
  • Experience using construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to travel and support projects nationwide as business needs require. The position involves working on-site for extended periods during construction and commissioning activities, with flexibility to temporarily relocate based on project assignment requirements. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
