Accounting Manager/Supervisor
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead corporate accounting operations for a real estate and property organization in Plano, Texas. This position will oversee partnership accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury activities, and entity-level accounting across a complex ownership structure. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage both internal processes and external service partners in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
• Direct accounting activities for partnerships and affiliated entities, including intercompany balances, investment accounting, and support for multi-entity structures.
• Monitor cash positions and manage daily treasury operations to help maintain accurate visibility into corporate liquidity.
• Oversee the company purchase card program, including controls, review procedures, and timely monthly reconciliations.
• Supervise external or outsourced team members handling corporate expense processing and income billing functions.
• Produce monthly corporate financial reports and ensure results are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Lead the development of annual budgets and periodic forecast updates for corporate operations and association-related entities.
• Coordinate the preparation of year-end tax support packages and provide organized documentation for tax reporting needs.
• Support month-end close activities by reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to facilitate financial statement audit requests and resolve accounting issues efficiently.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibility in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of partnership accounting, intercompany activity, and accounting for investments within complex entity structures.
• Experience managing month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
• Background in treasury oversight, including daily cash management and related financial controls.
• Ability to prepare financial reports, budgets, reforecasts, and year-end tax support documentation.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and working with external service providers or outsourced accounting resources.
• Experience within real estate, property management, or private equity-backed environments is strongly preferred.
• CPA required or active progress toward certification is required.
