The Production Associate plays a key role in the manufacturing process by performing light assembly, machine operations, and braiding tasks to produce high-quality wire harnesses. Wire harnesses are organized sets of wires that power agricultural and heavy equipment, boat lifts, generators, and other machinery. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a hands-on production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently after appropriate cross-training.
  • Assemble wire harnesses and related components with precision and attention to detail.
  • Perform light assembly tasks using hand tools and small equipment as required.
  • Use tape measures and other measuring tools to accurately determine length, width, thickness, diameter, and depth of materials and components.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-structured work area and storage spaces.
  • Consistently produce work that is free of mistakes, demonstrating a strong commitment to high-quality output.
  • Follow established production processes, work instructions, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers to troubleshoot issues and coordinate tasks.
  • Build and maintain positive, trust-based working relationships within the team through timely and respectful communication.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain reliable attendance.
  • Lift, bend, stand, twist, and perform general labor tasks as needed to support production goals.
  • Use fine motor skills to operate small tools, calibration equipment, and other controls specific to the position.
  • Read and interpret product labels, documents, and identifiers to ensure correct materials and processes are used.
  • Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes.
  • Contribute to a safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting concerns as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in production, general labor, or assembly environments.
  • Familiarity with wire harness assembly and related manufacturing processes.
  • Comfort working with calibration tools and other specialized production controls.
  • Ability to organize workstations and storage areas for efficient workflow.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and be cross-trained in multiple production areas.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on production role in a manufacturing facility where you will stand for long periods of time and frequently use your hands, fingers, and arms for detailed work. You will rely on close-range vision to see small components and read product labels, documents, and identifiers. The position involves regular use of small tools such as tape measures, calibration tools, and other equipment specific to the job. Communication with coworkers is frequent as you work together to troubleshoot and complete tasks. Required personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes, and other items, must be worn as appropriate for the duties performed. The environment is focused on safety, precision, and efficient production.

This is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
