Job Title: Welder Operator

Job Description

This role focuses on producing high-quality ground screws used in solar farms and construction sites. You will perform small hand welds and operate a robotic welding machine to ensure each ground screw meets strict quality standards. You will start and monitor welds, correct any weld discrepancies, and conduct quality checks throughout the entire production process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform small hand MIG welds on metal components.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding machines.
  • Ensure proper weld penetration, alignment, and weld quality.
  • Inspect welds for defects and make repairs as needed.
  • Load materials and components into welding fixtures and machines.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Support fabrication and general production activities.
  • Handle parts and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Troubleshoot minor welding and equipment issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and welding standards.

Required Skills:

  • MIG welding experience.
  • Experience operating robotic welding equipment.
  • Machine operation experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
  • Knowledge of welding quality standards and defect identification.
  • Ability to perform weld repairs and adjustments.
  • Experience using fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to perform general labor duties in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with robotic welding systems.
  • Metal fabrication or manufacturing experience.
  • Basic troubleshooting and equipment adjustment skills.
  • Ability to learn new welding technologies and processes.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing facility producing ground screws for solar and construction projects.
  • Work with welding equipment, robotic welders, and fabrication tools.
  • Industrial shop environment with strict safety practices.
  • Regular handling of metal components and materials.

Schedule:

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
