Location: Sarasota, FL
Position SummaryThe Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, material distribution, shipping, and logistics support. This role provides leadership to warehouse personnel, ensures inventory accuracy, supports production requirements, and drives operational efficiency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong inventory management, problem-solving, and team coordination skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Supervise warehouse personnel and assist with training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure materials are received, inspected, labeled, and stored accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate timely delivery of materials and components to production and assembly departments.
- Monitor shipping activities to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on schedule.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and transaction verification.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and material shortages.
- Utilize ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems to track inventory movement and warehouse performance.
- Develop and implement warehouse processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and proper storage practices.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, quality, and customer service teams to support operational goals.
- Monitor warehouse supplies and equipment, reporting maintenance needs as necessary.
- Assist with shipping documentation, freight coordination, and carrier communications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
