2nd Shift - 2:30pm to 11pm

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing plant operations and production line operators across various product lines.
  • Lift and stack heavy bags of flour and other ingredients, up to 75 lbs, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Load products onto pallets and move them efficiently along the production line.
  • Assist with making, assembling, and packing boxes to meet production targets.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) at all times.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including hair nets, safety glasses, and work boots.
  • Adhere strictly to CGMP and HACCP guidelines for food manufacturing.
  • Comply with all policies regarding no jewelry and appropriate hair netting on the production floor.
  • Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and work at a sustained fast pace throughout the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and operators on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as needed.
  • Perform manual labor tasks in a non-climate-controlled production environment, regardless of seasonal temperatures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, stacking, and loading heavy bags up to 75 lbs.
  • Experience working in production, food, chemical, or pharmaceutical environments.

  • Familiarity with bagging, stacking, and loading processes in high-volume operations.

  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and move into different roles or departments over time.
  • Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment that is cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

Why Work Here?

Employees have the opportunity to move directly into high-wage union roles, with strong potential for long-term stability and growth. A significant portion of workers transition into permanent positions, reflecting a commitment to internal development and career progression. The organization places a strong emphasis on culture and caring for its people, offering opportunities to move into different roles or departments internally. Overtime is consistently available, providing additional earning potential and flexibility for those seeking extra hours.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food manufacturing facility that fully complies with CGMP and HACCP guidelines. Work takes place on a production floor that is not climate controlled, so conditions are cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Work boots are required, and employees must adhere to all CGMP policies, including no jewelry and wearing appropriate hair netting and other protective gear such as safety glasses. Hair nets and other GMP-related attire are part of the daily dress code.
