Full Charge Bookkeeper
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for an organization in Jacksonville, Florida in a fully-onsite capacity. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can independently manage core bookkeeping functions, maintain accurate financial records, and work confidently within QuickBooks. The role will oversee payables, receivables, reconciliations, and investment-related accounting activity while helping ensure timely and reliable financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
• Manage complete bookkeeping activities, maintaining accurate general ledger records and supporting the full accounting cycle.
• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outstanding obligations to keep accounts payable current and organized.
• Issue customer billings, post incoming payments, and follow up on open balances to maintain healthy accounts receivable activity.
• Reconcile bank and financial accounts on a regular basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Record and track investment transactions with attention to accuracy, supporting proper documentation and account maintenance.
• Assist with investment-related financial review by organizing data and preparing reports for internal analysis.
• Maintain accounting records in QuickBooks, ensuring transactions are entered correctly and supporting documentation is complete.
• Prepare routine financial summaries and other bookkeeping reports to support business oversight and decision-making.
• Ability to work full-time, in office located in Jacksonville, Florida location.
• At least 3 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping or a closely related accounting position.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks in a detail-focused business environment.
• Practical experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong background in completing bank reconciliations accurately and on schedule.
• Familiarity with investment accounts and the recording of investment-related transactions.
• Ability to analyze financial information carefully and maintain a high level of accuracy in bookkeeping work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating financial information and resolving account issues.
