Job Description
The General Production Worker assembles custom window frames from start to finish, ensuring all components meet precise specifications and quality standards. This role involves using measurement tools, hand and power tools, and material handling equipment to produce and move finished windows throughout the facility while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Assemble custom window frames from start to finish according to specifications and production requirements.
- Use a tape measure and other measurement tools to ensure all parts are cut and assembled to exact dimensions.
- Perform in-process and final quality checks on all completed windows to ensure they meet established standards.
- Operate a table saw and various hand and power tools, including table and trim saws, vertical and horizontal sanders, air nailers, grinders, and other finishing tools.
- Utilize carts and material handling equipment to safely move windows weighing over 50 pounds throughout the facility.
- Carry out finishing tasks such as grinding and sanding to prepare windows for shipment.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or work instructions to complete assembly and production tasks correctly.
- Assist with other general labor and production tasks as needed to support overall workflow and team goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete job duties efficiently and meet production targets.
- Be willing to work overtime and some weekend hours when required to meet production demands.
Essential Skills
- At least one year of previous manufacturing or production experience.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and other measurement tools.
- Experience with general labor and production work in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools such as saws, sanders, grinders, and air nailers.
- Capability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and to bend, reach, and occasionally work in a seated position.
- Ability to read and follow basic blueprints or production instructions.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks.
- Openness to working overtime and some weekend hours as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with assembly, finishing, grinding, or similar hands-on production roles.
- Comfort working with material handling equipment and carts in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated reliability and consistency in previous production or manufacturing positions.
- Ability to adapt to different tasks and support various stages of the window production process.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mansfield, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.15 - $19.15/hr.
