Job Description

Join a high-volume manufacturing team producing precision automotive components. As a Production Associate, you will operate production machinery, load and unload parts, and perform basic quality inspections in a clean, climate-controlled environment across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Load parts onto production machines and ensure correct placement and orientation according to work instructions and blueprints.
  • Operate CNC and other production machinery, including mills, lathes, industrial saws, press brakes, and presses, following established safety and quality procedures.
  • Monitor machines during operation and make basic adjustments to maintain consistent production quality.
  • Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections on finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
  • Run the same parts repeatedly in a high-volume production environment while maintaining focus and accuracy.
  • Follow quality inspection procedures to identify defects and ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and production documentation to confirm correct part dimensions and tolerances.
  • Work effectively on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as assigned and be willing to train on day shift for an extended period.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all housekeeping standards.
  • Stand for the duration of the shift while safely handling parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and resolve basic machine or process issues.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear.

Essential Skills

  • Previous manufacturing experience in a production or industrial environment.
  • Ability to operate production machinery safely and consistently after training.
  • Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and machining processes.
  • Ability to perform basic quality inspections on parts after they come out of the machine.
  • Comfort working in a repetitive, high-volume production setting.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail when loading parts and inspecting finished components.
  • Ability to stand for an entire shift and perform manual tasks throughout the day.
  • Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift according to business needs and to train on day shift initially.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience operating CNC machines, including mills and lathes.
  • Hands-on experience with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • in machining, including set-up and operation of various machine tools.
  • Familiarity with machine brands and controls such as Mazak, Haas, and Fanuc.
  • Experience with industrial saws, press brakes, and press operations.
  • Ability to interpret detailed blueprints and apply dimensional tolerances in production.
  • Prior experience in assembly or production roles within automotive or metalworking industries.
  • Comfort working with quality inspection processes and documentation.

Work Environment

The facility is extremely clean and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and professional production setting. Work is performed on the manufacturing floor with CNC and other industrial machinery, including mills, lathes, industrial saws, press brakes, and presses. Multiple shifts are available: 1st shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., Monday–Friday), and 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m., Sunday–Thursday). New hires should be comfortable training on day shift for an extended period. The role requires standing for the entire shift and following standard production attire and safety gear requirements appropriate for a manufacturing environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37500.00 - $37500.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
