Ricky Pasquet with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Director of Finance position for a growing manufacturing company located in Sparks, Nevada. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the company's continued growth, lead the accounting department, and support the company's leadership.

The company is seeking a strategic finance leader who can partner with executive leadership while overseeing both the Accounting and FP& A functions. The Director of Finance will need to bring a combination of strong operational and financial leadership, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when needed. This position has responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and clearly communicating results to business leaders to be a partner in the company's continued expansion.


Responsibilities:

• Provide senior-level financial leadership to company executives, offering guidance on profitability, expansion plans, capital allocation, and risk management.

• Shape and carry out the organization’s financial direction by aligning short-term priorities with longer-range business goals and multi-year planning.

• Direct budgeting, forecasting, long-range financial plans, and scenario analysis, then communicate performance trends and variance insights to leadership.

• Manage liquidity, cash forecasting, banking activity, and lending relationships to support healthy working capital and ongoing operational needs.

• Assess major spending proposals and capital investments through financial analysis such as return expectations, payback timing, and overall business impact.

• Oversee the full accounting function, ensuring accurate records, dependable monthly close activities, and timely financial statements, dashboards, and budget-to-actual reporting.

• Partner with operational leadership on pricing and margin analysis to support competitive quotes and sound profitability decisions.

• Strengthen internal controls and compliance practices while identifying financial and operational risks and developing practical mitigation plans.

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, tax filings, fixed assets, audits, licensing renewals, and the ongoing development of the accounting and finance team.

• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility in a manufacturing environment.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated success with month-end close, financial reporting, and preparation or review of accurate monthly financial statements.

• Experience supporting financial statement audits and serving as a primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.

• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, and financial analysis for operational decision-making.

• Working knowledge of accounting systems and process improvement initiatives.

• Ability to interpret financial results, explain variances clearly, and present actionable recommendations to the business.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills, with the ability to build an effective and scalable finance organization.
