We're seeking a hands-on Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution equipment. This role offers a clear path toward NETA certification, ongoing technical training, and advancement opportunities within a growing organization.
What You'll Do- Perform testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical power equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motors, CTs, PTs, and grounding systems.
- Operate specialized testing equipment such as Ductor, Hi-Pot, power factor, and ratio/saturation testing equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Document test results and field findings accurately.
- Follow established safety procedures and identify potential job site hazards.
- Travel to customer sites and represent the company professionally.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical power systems, utilities, industrial maintenance, electrical contracting, testing, or commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
- Ability to work safely around low, medium, and high-voltage equipment.
- Experience reading electrical drawings and schematics.
- NETA certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel locally and regionally.

This is a field-based role with approximately 100% of time spent at customer sites, supporting critical electrical infrastructure. Travel and overtime are expected, providing opportunities to gain valuable experience across a variety of power system environments.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
