As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment throughout the facility. You will apply your expertise in automation, control systems, and troubleshooting to keep equipment running safely and efficiently, while also mentoring junior technicians and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems throughout the building to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including sorters, conveyors, and robotics systems.
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance procedures on mechanical and controls equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with material handling equipment, including electrical and mechanical components, to quickly restore functionality.
  • Use and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to guide installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Apply established safety standards and practices in all maintenance and repair work, actively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Support maintenance management and preventative maintenance planning using CMMS and other maintenance management tools.
  • Leverage data analysis and control systems knowledge to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Contribute to automation and project management efforts related to material handling and robotics systems.
  • Mentor junior technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to help them develop their technical skills and grow in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Maintenance team to prioritize work, coordinate activities, and ensure effective communication across shifts.
  • Demonstrate consistent adherence to safety protocols and risk management practices in all aspects of the work.
Essential Skills
  • At least 1 year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • At least 1 year of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment.
  • At least 2 years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • At least 2 years of experience demonstrating and adhering to safety standards.
  • At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and performing diagnostics on material handling equipment (MHE).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, shift, and work area, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with maintenance management and preventative maintenance planning.
  • Hands-on experience with conveyor maintenance and automated material handling systems.
  • Knowledge of automation and industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with robotics and sortation systems in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of risk management principles in an operations or maintenance setting.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Exposure to data analysis and project management in a maintenance or operations environment.
  • Awareness of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced operations and distribution environment that relies on advanced material handling equipment, automated conveyor systems, and robotics technology. You will stand and walk for shifts lasting up to 12 hours and move items weighing up to 49 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position requires flexibility to work various schedules and shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Safety is a core focus, with fire-resistant daily wear and composite toe safety shoes provided as part of the standard attire, and work is performed around automated equipment and control systems in an industrial facility.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bristol, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Clean climate controlled, 401k, medical, dental, vision, 48 hrs of PTO, 80 hrs of vacation, 1 hour of unpaid time off each week
