The Electrician III plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, integrity, and operational excellence of complex facilities. In this role, you install, maintain, and repair advanced electrical systems, ensuring that environments remain safe, productive, and efficient. You apply your technical expertise within a modern facilities management setting, delivering outstanding service while consistently upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers to ensure proper functionality and reliability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using advanced electrical testing and diagnostic equipment to identify causes of breakdowns and implement effective repairs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to determine accurate placement and routing of wiring, conduit, and electrical equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely, effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and material usage within appropriate documentation systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with company, client, and governmental safety requirements, following established safety procedures and best practices at all times.
Essential Skills
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician.
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid state-issued Electrician license or Master Electrician certification.
  • Strong ability to install and work with conduit systems in commercial or industrial settings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and integrated controls.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, security, and data/telecom infrastructure.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification.
  • Experience working within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Previous experience in a large-scale commercial property or critical environment setting, such as pharma or other regulated facilities.

Work Environment

This role is based in a GMP pharmaceutical production environment on a large, six-building campus. The setting involves working with building automation systems, low-voltage infrastructure, and complex electrical equipment typical of large commercial and industrial facilities. You can expect a professional atmosphere focused on safety, compliance, and operational reliability.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks Glencoe, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
