Machine Operator / Advanced Manufacturing Production Worker

Location: Gardner, Massachusetts

Pay:$22-30 Based on Experience

Overview:

Hands-on manufacturing role producing graphite insulation components for aerospace and high-temperature furnace applications. Work in a small, team-oriented shop operating machinery, assembling products, inspecting quality, and supporting production and shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine graphite insulation boards to customer specifications
  • Assemble insulation components and finished products
  • Operate die-cutting equipment for gasket production
  • Build wooden shipping crates
  • Apply graphite sealants and coatings
  • Inspect parts using measuring tools and blueprints
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Support shipping, production, and general shop operations

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of machine operation, woodworking, or manufacturing experience
  • Blueprint reading and measuring tool experience
  • Skilled with hand and power tools
  • Experience with machining, die cutting, or carpentry
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Work Environment:

Temperature-controlled manufacturing shop with a small team. Work involves graphite machining, assembly, shipping preparation, and general production support in a safety-focused environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Templeton, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
