Job Description:

Employees First Labor Law is looking for an Experienced Paralegal to join our team. This position is located in our Pasadena office. A successful candidate would have experience working in a fast-paced firm focused on employment litigation matters. Spanish speaker a plus.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ability to assist attorneys with propounding and responding to discovery (interrogatories, requests for admissions, and request for production, subpoenas) and motions (preparation of any supporting documents and exhibits, and preparing hearing binders);
• File documents with state and federal courts;
• File PAGA applications;
• File DFEH complaints for "Right to Sue" letters;
• Have client interaction and perform intakes when necessary;
• Work as part of a team with all levels of experiences; and
• Assist in managing attorney calendars.

Position Requirements:

• Paralegal certification (preferred but not necessary);
• Minimum of 3+ years experience as a litigation paralegal;
• Solid understanding of CA civil litigation (state and federal deadlines and rules);
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat;
• Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision;
• Articulate, organized and a team player with excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills;
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines; and
• Professional appearance, and warm and friendly demeanor.
