Immediately hiring a Safety Specialist to champion safety and environmental health standards across our manufacturing operations. Position is located on the south side of San Antonio.
Pay is up to $20/hour
Schedule Mon - Fri 6am-6pm
Duties:
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed daily
- Support investigation when incidents occur and Cority reporting of all incidents.
- Complete and maintain all safety reports: OSHA LOGS, KPI’s, OHSMS and others weekly.
- Provide safety training and new hire orientation to forklift operators and recertification as required.
- Investigate incidents, propose counter measures, and verify results.
- Lead monthly safety committee and small group meetings.
- Communicate and schedule weekly safety meetings with management and review safety concerns.
- Document and compile safety data trends for injuries, incidents, and all processes for evaluations.
- Work closely with Senior Safety Manager and Corporate Safety group to follow OHSMS and implement elements into all daily processes and programs.
- Position will be divided between production floor and office.
Requirements:
- Seeking at least 1 year experience in a safety role.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift Certified Preferred. Forklift knowledge required.
- Must be able to use computers, scanners, and related equipment.
