Your Day-to-Day Impact
  • Patient Experience: Greet and assist patients with empathy, schedule appointments, and manage smooth check-in and check-out processes.

  • Operational Support: Answer routine phone inquiries, process patient billing forms, handle co-payments, and accurately update patient medical records.

  • Clinical Coordination: Screen and manage important messages regarding prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and lab test results.

  • System Leadership: Act as a "Super User" for scheduling, registration, and billing systems, providing valuable training and assistance to your peers.

  • Advanced Duties: Depending on your competency level, you may take on specialized functions such as surgical scheduling and calendar blocking.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Education & Experience: You have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and bring 2 to 3 years of essential office experience.

  • Technical Skills: You are highly proficient in the MS Office Suite and comfortable mastering multi-line phone systems and standard office equipment.

  • Communication: You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to correspond effectively with patients, providers, and peers.

  • Organization: You have exceptional time-management skills, enabling you to juggle multiple tasks effectively, independently solve routine issues, and follow established clinical protocols.

salary: $24 - $26 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

-Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office.
-Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
-Greet and assist patients.
-Answer telephones, assist callers with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments.
-File materials in patient folders and print appointment schedules.
-Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.
-Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results.
-Open and distribute unit mail or faxes.
-Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc., as directed.
-May be required to accept co-payments.
-Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations,
-provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
-Acts as "Super User" for scheduling, registration and billing systems.
-Provides assistance and training to others in these areas.
-May perform more complex or specialized functions (i.e. surgical scheduling, schedule changes/blocking) at more advanced competency level.
